Pulled From The Pits is a 501c3 non profit foster and volunteer based dog rescue organization located in Maine, serving primarily the New England area. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs who are homeless, in public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to overpopulation, owner surrenders, and those in danger of abuse or neglect.
We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following an extensive adoption process which helps us to find the perfect match. We strive to educate prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives
Animals in our care are fully vetted, and when needed are placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement with their permanent families. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement.
We are run by a team of volunteers, allowing us to put every dollar raised back into the rescue to continue to help as many animals as possible.

Due to the growth of PFTP and BBTB, I have decided to move the rescue. We both need more room, as the number of dogs in need is increasing. The space isn't sufficient for two rescues.
With that being said, I'll be working hard to find a new location (still local); we need you now more than ever!
I'm starting over, so we need kennels (retriever), small, medium, and large crates, food, dishes, cleaning supplies - everything! We'll continuously do adoption events to save more dogs and try to get more donations to reach our goal. I'll update along the way once I get back and can sit down, process my thoughts, and get everything on paper to start planning this new adventure for this little rescue of mine that has grown into my entire world 🩷🐾
I can’t wait to start this new journey with all of you!!
I never could have gotten this far without all of my amazing supporters, donors, and followers and ADOPTERS/FOSTERS!!!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for loving this rescue and these dogs, as much as I do!
🐶🐾
If you can’t donate I just ask that you share. You never know who you will reach!!
This is going to be a process. It will be long. I will be begging for money. I will be begging for people to share my post. I will be begging for people to spread the word about this rescue so that we can continue to save the lives of the unwanted, abused and mistreated.

Two sweet souls. One unbreakable bond. One desperate wish: a home.
Pippin and Brenna—mother and daughter—have spent nearly two years in a kennel. That’s over 900 days of waiting, watching, and wondering if anyone will ever choose them.

Their lives before rescue were cruel: chained outside, unloved, and used. Pippin, the mama, had her teeth pulled or filed down so she couldn’t even protect herself. Recently, she endured the pain of having her remaining decayed teeth removed. And yet… through it all, she remains gentle, forgiving, and full of love. Brenna, her loyal daughter, has never left her side—they are truly bonded, depending on one another for comfort and hope.
These girls are everything good and pure about dogs.

They adore people, love kids over 10, and ask for nothing more than a soft place to sleep, a safe yard to play, and a human heart to call their own. But they cannot survive without each other. We are begging—please, please share their story. They have waited long enough. They deserve a chance at love, family, and freedom.
📷 One adoption fee for both girls.
📷 No other animals needed—just you.

MAKE A DONATION: Every amount helps save a dog in need, and gets them to their forever home!
